About the price reader

If you found aislekit-pricing in your logs: it's the reader behind AK: Dynamic Pricing, a Shopify app that lets a store compare its prices with the public prices of stores it names.

What it reads

Public product pages and the public product feeds a store publishes (a Shopify store's products.json, a WooCommerce store's Store API): titles, prices, availability, barcodes and SKUs. It never logs in, never adds to a cart and never reads anything behind a password.

How it behaves

• It reads your robots.txt first and follows it, including a Crawl-delay.
• It reads one page at a time from your site, a few seconds apart, a few times a day at most.
• When your site says no (a 403, a 429 or a challenge page), it stops and tries again later, a limited number of times.

How to stop it

Add this to your robots.txt and it stops reading your site at its next visit:

User-agent: aislekit-pricing
Disallow: /
